Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026. Plain-language commitments on how your data is protected and used.
1. Overview & Core Commitment
Ontario Well Water ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. We operate as an educational well-water resource and referral service connecting rural Ontario homeowners with established independent water treatment professionals.
Our fundamental pledge: We do not sell, rent, broker, or trade your contact information to marketing firms, multi-party lead networks, or call centers. Your details are used solely to deliver the specific water screening or inquiry you requested.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information only when you voluntarily provide it through our website:
- Symptom Diagnostic Data: Your well type (drilled or dug), observed symptoms (sulfur odor, iron staining, hard water scale, sediment), and geographic township.
- Contact & Screening Information: If you choose to request an in-home water screening, we collect your name, phone number, preferred contact method (phone or text), and preferred appointment day/time.
- Usage & Performance Telemetry: Standard, privacy-preserving aggregate metrics (pages visited, browser type, referral source) to monitor site health. We do not use intrusive cross-site tracking cookies.
3. How Your Information Is Used & Routed
When you complete our 60-second quiz and request a screening:
- Your symptoms and contact details are transmitted securely to our single, exclusive independent dealer partner serving your regional catchment area (e.g., Niagara Region).
- The partner receives your details so their certified technician can contact you directly to arrange your free water test.
- We never distribute your information to multiple competing contractors or create bidding wars for your phone number.
4. Data Retention & Security
Diagnostic and booking records are securely logged using encrypted enterprise cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare and Google Workspace with service account authentication). We retain inquiry logs solely for service verification and quality assurance, and purge obsolete customer records on a regular schedule.
5. Your Rights & Contact
You have the right to request a copy of the information you submitted, request correction of inaccurate data, or request permanent deletion of your inquiry from our systems at any time.
For privacy inquiries, data deletion requests, or questions about our referral model, please reach out via phone at (289) 917-2939 or contact us through our website.
